The hinge clip is the plastic scissor clip that swivels up and down underneath the keyboard key cap. It is usually either black or white and functions as the part that holds the back of he key to the keyboard.
Manufacturers often use different keyboard vendors during production and each vendor has its own unique type of hinge clip. Compare the chart and identify the version that matches. You will fill this info in Step 2 above.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Our standard keyboard layout is QWERTY (shown below). If you have a different language layout the key cap and hinge clips are still interchangeable. If the key cap shape does not match or you require a different language layout please contact us before ordering.
I placed an order for 8 keys. They sent me 7 out of the 8 I ordered. I tried multiple times to contact them but they just wouldn't respond. I filed a dispute with my bank. I told them I simply either wanted the missing key or the $8 for the cost of it. The bank did it's investigation and ended up refunding me the cost of the entire order. What a sweet deal. I have to admit, I was a little concerned after placing the order for a replacement key for my new laptop. The FB page looks as if it hadn't been touched in years and there were many complaints and claims of a scam. I'm happy to report that I did receive my key and it fit perfectly. I do, however, believe that customer service needs some improvement and may want to consider a different "shipping partner" (it should not take a week for a product to leave the state of CA). As the only business I could find that offers such a service, I do hope they stick around. Improved CS will go a long way.
The keys I got were perfect replacements for my damaged keys. They installed in a snap as well. My keyboard is flawless again!
